The Mole Hill Theatre, 789 Gilsom Mine Road, East Alstead, NH

When Mole Hill Theatre opened 10 years ago in Alstead, it was a machine shop in the woods. Today, it’s still a machine shop in the woods, only now it’s become such a popular destination for entertainment that the building can no longer accommodate its fans. Owner Dennis Molesky is in the midst of a project to help the theater face the next decade ready to take on an ever-expanding audience. “The mission of the theater is to attract different demographics,” Molesky said. “The goal is for people to come, sit and enjoy entertainment alongside others who might vote differently from them. If they can’t do it here, where can they?”
